The Epiphone Casino is an iconic archtop that has been a staple of rock 'n' roll for over six decades. Ever since its launch in 1961, it has held the crown as Epiphone’s best-selling archtop, earning a permanent spot in music history.
Built side-by-side with Gibson guitars at the famous Kalamazoo factory in Michigan, the Casino quickly caught the ear of some of the biggest names in the business. Keith Richards used one to track the iconic demo for "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" at Chess Records, while blues legend Howlin' Wolf brought his along for his first UK tour. Not long after, John Lennon and George Harrison picked up Casinos for The Beatles' 1966 world tour, firmly establishing the guitar as a go-to for world-class artists.
At its core, the Casino features a 5-ply fully-hollow maple body designed for incredible resonance and sustain. The Rounded C neck profile makes moving along the 24.75" scale feel completely natural, complemented by a smooth rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. A Graph Tech nut helps keep your tuning stable while adding an extra bit of sustain.
The hardware side of things is just as well thought out. It sports a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge for precise intonation, paired with a classic diamond trapeze tailpiece that looks great while squeezing out even more tone. On the headstock, Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners make sure everything stays strictly in tune while you play.
The real magic of the Casino comes down to its pickups. Packed with a pair of Dogear PRO P-90s, it delivers that classic P-90 bite, warmth, and character. Whether you are cranking up the drive for gritty blues or dialling things back for warm jazz chords, these pickups respond brilliantly to every nuance of your playing.
Decades after its debut, the Epiphone Casino remains a standout instrument. It is versatile, beautifully built, and ready to inspire whether you are gigging regularly, recording, or just playing at home.
